Our Story
We live in the outdoors of New Zealand.
We spend way too long on our bikes and boards, when we should be working.
We grew up biking, hiking, surfing, kayaking, snowboarding and generally doing anything that allowed us to spend all-day, everyday exploring the immense beauty of our backyard.
When we started having families and dogs we took them along on our adventures. On these trips we discovered that one of our children was allergic to regular sunscreen.
We couldn’t find any sunscreen that worked in the extreme conditions we put it through and at the same time be gentle enough for our young families. So we set about creating it.
After four years of research, development and testing we had created a new type of sunscreen that used real plant ingredients to create formulas that would work in
the crazy harsh sun of New Zealand.
We had also turned the sunscreen supply chain on its head and created a truly sustainable company which puts environmental and social responsibility first.
We have to do a bit of more work these days, but you won't find us behind a desk. You will still find us on a beach or high on the side of a mountain, sometimes testing products, but always doing what we love.
